My daughter is customizing her Jeep Wrangler to make it a replica of the Jeeps used in the original Jurassic Park movie. Would you want to own a movie/tv replica car?
If I could drive again, I want that car from Nash Bridges. That show with Don Johnson? I don't know what year it was but he drove a Barracuda convertible
Ohh....you’re thinking of Nash Bridges! He drove a badass 70 Barracuda Hemi Convertible! That’s a sweet car. Randomly....I was in Oakland ~20 years ago and they were filming some scenes downtown. It was the car that I recognized first!
He has a music video on You Tube where he talks about an orange charger. My mom said “that’s Bo Duke”. I said “no, it’s John Schneider”. She just goes “ugh, youth”.
Anyway, I had to chose a song to learn how to sign. I chose this one:
You and your mom are both right of course...and the 01 car in the video is the General Lee. Kind of a fun fact...my cousin worked at the Academy of Country Music in the 70s and worked w John the singer. Her husband worked on the set of ‘Dukes of Hazzard.’ Years later....I met him in Reno at a car event...we were staying at the same hotel.
Funny that we’ve all met the same guy in different contexts.
.
Prop cars are bad daily drivers. They usually have stripped out shell interiors. They are beaten to death from stunts. They have holes in the body to mount cameras. Cool to own, not fun to drive.
General Lee from Dukes of Hazard, K.I.T.T. From Knight Rider, the van from the A Team, the 1958 Plymouth Fury from Christine, plus so many more...😎 oh hells ya.
If you can get Hulu, you might be interested in watching Battle of the 80’s Supercars, with David Hasselhoff. It features Kitt, the A-Team van and Ponch’s motorcycle from CHIPS.
