FEATURED: Do you have an actual "Bucket List" or a vague notion of kind of stuff you'd like to do?
Is it a list if there's only one thing on it? (Camp Winnaribbun)
I got one. Dig a hole 6ft deep and jump in, then kick the bucket
Go skydiving! Might be going for my birthday in a few weeks :)
Repealing the Hughes Amendment is near the top of my bucket list.
I come up with things I hope to remember later, but I don't. :-(
And hey! There's another RandFan! Follow?
You don't want to. The 'Randfan' moniker is a lie. He's very much in favor of a violent end for anyone daring to own a firearm.
I hope that I'm to young.
My plan is to write down all my (somewhat reachable) goals and things I want to do, randomly pick out one of them, and won't stop trying to achieve it until done. Repeat. :)
That which is measured gets done.
I have my active list and add and complete items all of the time!
We had to write one for a school project. I can't even remember what I had on.
Why is a bucket list called a bucket list? Someone please enlighten me!
Bucket list comes from the saying for death, "kick the bucket" so basically when you say bucket list, it means it's things you'd like to do before you die.
To own many guns
Mine are all very specific. One is that I want to see blue whales with my own eyes. They're the largest creatures that as far as we know have ever existed in the history of planet earth, it's so completely enthralling to me and I want to experience seeing them.
I want to learn how to cook. Not just a passing familiarity but a deep understanding of cooking techniques and how to create dishes and combine ingredients. I want to be able to make a perfect pizza margherita
Enraged- same here on the cooking. I actually just started writing my list a week ago, although I've always had a list in my mind.
Pet a cow and be a clown for a day... My most clearly defined items.
I made one after I saw the movie. I'm close to crossing some off! ????
I want to go to Switzerland & Austria. that's one thing. I'm drawing up more.
I've already seen Paul McCartney in concert. Soon to see Bob Dylan. But I'm hoping to go to London this fall and walk across Abbey Road. I'd like to visit the Reagan Library also.
Good question...I honestly can't even think of anything right now that would even be on my bucket list. Maybe go back to visit the town where I was raised.
I have a few things in mind, but with my financial situation, I can't even leave this Occupied State. I want to fly like a free bird. That would be sweet.
I keep a bucket list. It's not for my actual dreams and aspirations for my life and career path, it's just things that I want to achieve along the way, like learning the single ladies dance and using an entire chapstick without losing it. odd little things that I want to experience just because.
Anyone who can finish a tube of Chapstick without losing it is my hero. I may get about a weeks worth of use out of a tube before I lose it.
Lolz. Tiny posted my questions while back asking whether anyone had ever done that. I'm an avid Chapstick user and I've only done it once.
Oops. *Tony... sorry about that one, haha!
I don't have a bucket list, but I do have a list of things to do before my kids graduate high school. Take them out of the country for a trip, take them to Disneyland, and live closer to family.
Recently some X-rays showed possible bone lesions..... My vague idea turned more real in a second...... Further test showed nothing..... Odd what a potential does for ones perspective on life
I like your comment very much. I hope you retain perfect health and are able to do something with your
Funny, I was just thinking last night I should make a list.
It's pretty vague like "travel" and ...
I'm coming up blank here ...
That's how vague it is
actually, only one thing on it, to have a good job.
I've already done almost everything that I've wanted to. So my bucket list is pretty short. And I'm only 35.
If the opportunity to do something outrageous presents itself, I'll do it. I figure I'm still young I don't want to regret not doing it when I'm older and can't do it. I'm thinking about signing up for a mud run later this year. Should be fun...
I find it depressing to think of anything as 'before I die' - everything you want to do will have to be before death. But there are a million things I want to do. I wouldn't be able to make a list if I tried.
- Marry Anna Nicole Smith.
- Continue to work on my "intelligent" phone idea.
- Invest in Enron.
- Meet Michael Jackson.
- Visit Kabul.
Maybe I should sit down and update my list.
Vague: see as much of the world as I can.
I have a list for my 30's, 40's, and 50's. Then an overall list. Also a list of things I want to do with my daughter and son and then my husband. To top it off I have a list of things for my whole family!
I have a bukkit list.
1. Remember how to spell bukcit.
2. Think of new ideas for my boccit list.
Great question. I did not consider our goals as a bucket list, but it does fit the idea. Retire early and spend everyday with my wife. However, taking care of my aging and sick mother was not part of the goal. But we have loved the first two parts for six years now. We should update our list now.
I don't have a bucket list, I have already done everything I wanted to do except fly a plane.
Wait... What? Anyone else notice the age filter...?
My wife and I have a pre-baby bucket list, which is a list of things we want to do before we have kids.
Make sure the list includes baby-makin'. :)
I think that is one of the best ideas I've ever heard! Too bad it's too late for me... Good luck, you will have So much fun!
Would love to spend 6 months in Antarctica but since I'm not a scientist that's not likely to happen. Adopting a child is my other dream. Going to Wrigley field to see the Cubs play, and seeing a World Cup Soccer final game for my sports list. I met Dean Smith 5 years ago, and that got crossed off!
U don't hafta be a scientist. I'm going to apply to work there. There's crappy jobs like housekeeping n kitchen. But u need remote camp experience n physical/ mental testing to see if u can handle it.
Living in AK.. Bucket list. Working in the Antarctica.. Bucket list.. Driving from Maine to AK wasn't on the B. L. but it was when I look back on it now.
Did not think I would agree with you 43% of the time, I thought it would be down around 25%
Although I do agree with the avatar pic, a Christmas story is a classic
Both. I have a very real purpose and sense of how I want to live my life and I keep a a regular journal of detailed goals, plans and aspirations. "If you fail to plan then plan to fail."
Oh that's good. Ctrl C.
Sail around the world. Sailing involves almost all my dream destinations. I want to see the pyramids. Dive in the Dead Sea.
Live the rest of my days happy and care free.
I have one in the back of my journal. Included is visiting Greenland and dooring someone.
Places I want to go to on a Pinterest board but that's it.
I want to someday travel on the Japanese whaling vessel 'Nissan Maru' as well as go on the hunt for ivory in Africa. Dream big!
Lol Wolfe, need to get you a leash
He'd like that too much.
Shock collar works great...
Always wanted to see Chilean Andes, Astana, Dubai, and tour Europe... Not much of a bucket list and since I'm still quite the youngling, it should be plausible to do.
Adopt. Have a foster care agency for animals. Travel more. Fish every ocean.
Go to Oceanaire.
:( quit reminding me lol
Actually get rj to clear his schedule for me :P jk
Not a bucket list, but goals, clearly defined as described by Napoleon Hill.
It's more of a when-I-move-out type of list. First up is read the Harry Potter series followed by the movies. I'm a rebellious type
Gotta start somewhere.
No. I don't need a bucket list to remind me to look out for pet squirrels.
And yes, I'm quite serious.
Some friends o' mine had a pet squirrel. Absolutely adorable, but it would nip at you, if it didn't like how you were handling it. (kind o' like people!)
It was tragic, though. One day, couldn't find it anywhere, then we looked in the bathroom..... ????
...another reason to keep the lid down. :(
1. Thru hike the Appalachian trail.
2. Join the peace corps
I've hiked all of the AT in NC, and parts of Tenn. and Va. I will do the whole trail one day myself!! That and go to New Zealand are the only 2 definites on the list. Getting married used to be on the list but I've given up on that one...
Mine is to eliminate that stupid phrase - "bucket list" - from the vernacular.
I've completed my bucket list. It had one item on it. Live past 25 without going to prison. Made it!
Now time to aim a little higher in life.
