The bathroom at the formal restaurant I went to today filled their urinals with ice. This is:
I’ve seen it a lot when I lived in NOLA.
I’ve never understood the practice of putting ice in urinals.
Seems like a pretty common thing.
Ice prevents the splashing, so you don't get any of your (or the previous person's!) urge be in your clothes.
With the rise of "waterless urinals", this is a big plus.
Does the ice serve a purpose? To reduce the odor maybe? That’s the only reason I can think of for it. So maybe both? I honestly don’t know what I think about it. I voted “strange.”
Being a woman, I’m not familiar with urinals. There must be a good reason they did it.
I guess it’s to prevent splashing
Good! I voted right. 🤗
