Do you ever try to muck up your “personal data stream” - the data used by marketers and analysts and big data programs - by entering inconsistent or fake information on surveys, forms, and rewards programs?
I love seeing the contrast in ads that I get on my work computer compared to my home/mobile.
Yeah, I’m guilty of that.
I piss in the data pool every chance I get.
They get nothing from me. I lie if I have to.
Facebooks see i hate music, no hobbies, no nuttin’. I graduated Gubie U. My marriage is complicated. Same goes for everything else
. I have a garbage email account. I do forward messages of any sort. Don’t send me computer birthday cards either.
I give the wrong date of birth because there is SO much info that can be stolen if they have your name and birthdate.
Sometimes I even f*ck around and use a VPN and Duck Duck Go.
It was kinda scary as sh*t once though. I forgot to plug in my iPhone one night, Siri kicked on at around 4 am and had the mic on for about 3 hours - totally drained my battery and who knows what else if the phone was actually listening. As much as I love a digital personal assistant, she got deactivated after that and I've not had any issues since (knock on wood).
No, if I ignore them long enough, they tend to go away.
Unless of course we're talking about behind the scenes type things....
True. They are tricky. 😕
I do it to see who is reselling my information.
Everyone. The answer is everyone
Truth. But what paths.
