If you buy something in bulk because it was cheaper per unit, but end up throwing much of it out because you couldn't use it all by the expiration date, did you really get a bargain?

If the bulk item was cheaper than the original thing you were going to buy. It is still a bargain if you use the same amount. I try to share

But what about the waste, and cost to the planet in producing the item, getting it to market, and going to landfill?

What I got even throw in some of that out was still cheaper buying by bulk

I only buy paper products in bulk.

I only buy things that will last a long time or paper products in bulk. If there's an expiration date coming anytime soon, I'm not going to buy it in bulk.

I never buy in bulk. We throw out too much stuff as it is.

Regardless of what you did with the product you got a deal, you might have waisted it but it was originally a deal.
