Make Election Day a paid holiday – by swapping out Columbus Day.
Making it a federal holiday were certainly make it easier for conservative voters to get to the polls… after all the majority of them work while many democratic voters are there with their hands out on the public dole
Election day should be a national holiday, but there's no reason to swap it out for Columbus Day just bc liberals hate Columbus.
My husband doesn’t get any paid days off. If he doesn’t work, he doesn’t get paid.
I don’t get Columbus Day off anyway so nothing would change....unless we lower the voting age to 10.
Why do people hate Columbus Day so much?
Swap it out for President’s Day.
We shouldn’t be celebrating Columbus anyhow so I’m for it.
My only hesitation here is how close it is to Veteran's Day.
why is that an issue?
And can we get more services to do like Lyft does and offer people rides to their polling location? Instead of crazy sh*t like not setting up polling machines until 3 hours after polls open? Arizona - you know I'm looking at you mostly.
