Can you name anything that the Republicans have moved toward the center on in the last 15 years?
Gay marriage, I think a lot of republicans now accept it, I’m a republican, and although I do not support the practice of it, I support the legalization of gay marriage because I think it’s not something government should intervene with.
I could go on, but most likely no one will read so since your question was could I name anything? Yes, yes I can.
Acceptance of gay relationships and marriages, criminal justice reform, marijuana. In general, I think the right has become more socially tolerant.
Quite a bit actually
Can YOU name anything the Democrats have moved to the center on in the last 15 years?
The same thing... criminal justice reform. There’s broad bipartisan support on both sides.
Criminal justice reform has become a bi-partisan issue. That’s a long way from being “tough on crime” ... which btw was a huge failure.
I have difficulty rembering a time when Republican Congressmen demonstrated a spine.
Republicans are the center.
Globally both major American parties are right of center.
Republicans hold the same values they always have, but they have certainly moved to the left on issues concerning homosexuality, taxes, and spending.
Just not as radically left as the democrats have.
Gay rights. Marijuana. Trade.
After New York I am embarrassed to be a democrat
Even accepting things like evolution, climate change.
Every social issue and CC
Support for a guest worker program
Support for renewable energy
Based on trump, support for federal negotiated drug prices
Environmental (mpg requirements, emission requirements)
Probably a lot more but that is what I came up with in 2 min.
Sad but Homosexual marriage.
They also moved to the left on the subject of happy homosexual marriages.
Yeah, so sad consenting adults can love each other legally, such a tragedy.
Massive fiscal deficits.
