Despite Nancy Pelosi urging her colleagues to pass Obamacare and then find out what is in it, she poked fun at Cortezโ€™s Green Plan by saying that everyone is for Cortezโ€™s plan but donโ€™t know the details. Is there rift stirring in the DNC?

Green means more centrist and independent.
I’m third party and they’re more recognized with the green or yellow color.

So saying that, means that the fight between them isn’t within the Dnc.

It means there’s a political fight between a democrat and a independent basically.

Not really, just a steady and increasingly quickening trend towards fringe lunacy.

I guess. They voted for her. They should be the first to convert their homes and apartments to solar. Most of NYC is oil and gas boiler heat and hot water. I knew she was a bartender. I didn’t know she had engineering skills.

No the rift has been present for years between the social democratic faction and the mainstream one, the former is largely there due to popular support and small donations, the latter is there because it has the backing of major investors, and it has the majority of power, representation, and influence

Yes, between corporate right-wing Democrats like Pelosi and progressives like Cortez. I hope the progressive wing emerges victorious although it won’t be easy. The corporate democrats have the corporate sector, the media, and a whole lot of money on their side that the progressives don’t have. What progressives do have, however, is the support of Americans, most of whom favor Medicare for all, subsidized college tuition, and taxing the wealthy, as all the polls show. A 70% top marginal tax rate is a good start but 90% would be even better. Remember, it was 91% under Eisenhower in the 1960’s, when the average American was living better than now and class mobility was more common.
It’s time to put an end to the right-wing Democratic-Republican monopoly on power.

Pelosi isn’t radical enough?

I really don’t understand how AOC came into power. I read a brief article on her background, and it’s not like she even tried to build a career in a field other than becoming a politician.

Look into the Justice Democrats. The movement is entirely from the ground up and is organic. Same with Wolf Pac.

It’s truly hard to imagine someone as dumb as her got elected, even in NY. Something seems off to me. She might be controlled opposition. I’m beginning to think Pelosi is now too.

LMFAO "controlled opposition", she was quite literally funded by individual campaign contributions from donors like Bernie Sanders. Small donations.

The whole point of Justice Democrats is to eliminate corporate influence on politics. Who would Cortez be controlled by? Corporations that she doesn't receive money from? She's controlled by her electorate. Blame someone, blame them.

Agree with Scott. She’s a Judas goat.

Pelosi isn't the brightest and if she stands against the shift in the Democratic Party, she'll end up losing her way.
One priority for Democrats: Environmentalism.
Most voters like seeing which politicians advocate more and more in favor of their ideals. Republicans are anti illegal immigration? Common Republicans support border fencing and border patrol. Trump will one up them by "building a wall". If someone wants to outdo Trump they just have to come up with something more effective and symbolic than a wall. Maybe a militarized zone? Who knows.
Cortez is just simply out Environmentalisting Pelosi and she doesn't like it. Call her radical? People tend to like radical.

Pelosi realizes that her plan is economic suicide for the party.

Depends. One thing you could do is, over time, remove subsidies from oil and fossil fuel companies and transition to a better system. I wouldn't be against something like that.

02/07/19 3:23 pm

To me it's all part of the conspiracy to ruin life for people who work for a living. They likely know they will never get their 70% tax, but they are aiming high hoping for the most. Pelosi is just saying the aim was too high, but make no mistake they are all in on the same basic evil plan.

I agree. They feast off of the mindset, “I want to be here, but I’m not. Therefore, it’s someone else’s fault.” Democrats come along and assign blame to someone else for them.
