I know I've said around here that I support Maduro as the president of Venezuela. But after seeing all these protests lately, I'm starting to see that he may not have the support of the people. Video of protests linked.
Happened across an anti-Maduro protest yesterday, lots of Venezuelan’s were there and I saw one lady carrying a Venezuelan flag and crying. Made me realize how it must feel to live in another country and have a dictator come to power in your own. Powerful stuff.
We need to throw Guaido at them whether they want him or not.
The opinion of the people isn't worth considering.
Maduro is a dictator who has rigged the last election. He’s not a legitimate president.
There really isn’t a legitimate leader. America establishing a coup doesn’t help. It’s just political. It’s not in the best interest of Venezuelans.
It’s a horrible situation.
So, what do we do? Do we just not take sides, and tacitly uphold the US' position? Or do we oppose our own country's actions?
I oppose Trump getting involved. He’s only interested in himself.
Was it okay for Obama and Bush to be involved?
The US can take a position of not supporting socialist dictators, but shouldn’t get involved in any way. Revert back to isolationism. Why the f#clk do we concern ourselves with the goddamn Venezuelans and their sh!t hole country...?
No, I don’t support America getting involved and definitely not Trump.
John you really are pathetic
Why? Talk to Venezuelans yourself. They’ll tell you how sh!tty it is. Sorry you’re too sensitive and got your little feelings hurt 😭❄️
I didn’t get my feelings hurt. Way to assume. Maybe you should go live there.
Go live in Venezuela? The poorest country in South America? No thanks. People from there have told me too many horror stories of how sh!tty it is 🤣😂
I didn’t assume. You got offended that I called a sh!tty country, sh!tty. Political and economic policies have made it that way.
You should experience it. Maybe you’d stop being such an asshole.
Perhaps you should talk to people from there. Maybe you’d stop being an ignorant dumb ass. My bet is that you’re a lost cause, though.
He should've stuck to making Cuban cigars.
How many people protested Trump?
Should foreign powers intervene in the US?
Nope. Our Gov’t isn’t starving us.
He will retire comfortably
Both look a little to white for my tastes
More has been done for black and indigenous rights in Venezuela under Chavismo than ever before.
Good on you for realizing you shouldn’t be supporting the socialist dictator!
Did you watch the video?
I just see a bunch of people singing and dancing. Nothing in that video would lead me to believe they are supporting Maduro.
Besides waving red flags and the flags for the Bolivarian Revolution?

And for those of you who watched the video and made it this far, you probably didn't believe me in the first place. Imperialist media systematically refuses to report on the mass protests supporting Maduro, much larger than those supporting Guaido. 4 out of 5 Venezuelans didn't even know who Guaido was until he declared himself president, and basically none actually want him to be president, polling has shown.
It says that minority supporters are the minority of the country and was reported
Oh, cbs declares that they're the minority, so they're the minority?
But you believe CBS for everything else?
No, I don't. I never read CBS, and if I believe something they've published, it's not because it's from CBS, but because it's been confirmed by other, more reliable sources.
One guy on twitter isn’t a reputable source
Welcome to Team Bolton. We knew you’d come around.
Nope. I already know what side I’m on.
Trump had more at his rallies.
Biggest crowd in history!
