Maroon 5 is getting a lot of heat for not boycotting the Super Bowl, do you think they should play at halftime?
The only people giving them grief is the media giving the small few a voice
They're grown ups, I won't presume to tell them what to do with their time.
I don't know why anyone's surprised. They're sell outs.
I don't care what they do though, it's up to them.
Sing Sweet Victory!😂🇮🇹
The world is always better off when Maroon 5 doesn’t play.
Yeah, need the Oakridge boys!
I want them to boycott in hopes that a halfway decent band will play instead.
I see no reason for them to not play unless they don't want too. Obviously, they made a decision to play. Maybe we should leave it alone and leave them alone for making a decision on their own.
There are millions of milk toast music reasons to not play. They are not the inspiring. Plus Tom Brady doesn't like them.
Ah, my mistake. I thought rational reasons mattered. I'm not sure what I was thinking. 😊
And now they announce they are going to kneel or fist salute or lay out n the backs and kick their legs or something
Can we just keep politics out of this and let Brady get his sixth rung. If her gets seven he will be Lord of the Rings.
Why should they boycott, exactly? I must've missed it. I saw that people were upset that they decided not to show up for media day, but never heard why. Why not give the players heat for not boycotting?
I believe it’s because the football league sided with Trump over the kneeling issue. That’s why they didn’t want to take questions, because Adam Levine hates Trump.
The NFL didn't side with Trump, they sided with their wallets. Viewership was way down, and has been up this year after they started keeping the players in the locker room during the anthem.
It's great exposure for the band, I'm not sure why they should hurt themselves for an issue that people stopped talking about a while ago.
Kelly, I agree. The people making a stink about this are likely few and far between. Most people dont care, they shouldn't mistake the loudest in the crowd for the entire crowd.
Aren’t they their for entertainment? Who cares who voted for who? They are even protesting Gladys Knight for singing the anthem. Adam said he has a “few surprises”. I’m not sure what that means but I hope he doesn’t criticize anything.
Ugh, I hope they don't get political in any way.
Zim ... have you read your comment? I think you accurately portrayed the childish reasons, but I suspect/hope that you can’t agree with those reasons, can you?
Think- I’m against all boycotts, they achieve nothing and I don’t like being told where I can shop or watch. The right has its loony boycotts as well, remember NIKE which boosted there sales?
Zim ... Nike doesn’t need or want my money. I remember clearly the Target fiasco. I will never shop there again. Their sales have not recovered. I also sold all of my stock.
Political hatred in business never wins. Chick-fil-A is a great example. The hatred shown to the chain because of their position to reaffirm marriage failed because it was filled with hate.
It’s your choice, I like Target better than wall mart, chick fil la, is terrible, I had it once didn’t like. But I don’t boycott.
I don't outright boycott. But if there are 2 businesses with similar products and are equally convenient to get to, I will favor the one more sympathetic to my views (or more neutral, as the case may be). But Hobby Lobby could be owned by baby-eating Satanists, and I'd still go there.
When it's time for me to buy a new pair of running shoes, or buy sneakers for the kids, will I avoid Nike? Maybe. It would be in the back of my mind. There are plenty of other brands of high quality that I'd prefer to give my money to. But I won't avoid wearing Nike I already own. I don't consider it a boycott, as I wasn't a Nike-only person to begin with.
Wow, never heard about Maroon 5. Sounds like a good title for a scifi flick, maybe a successor to Babylon 5 😂
Personally, I do but I’m not in Maroon 5 so it’s not my call. We all make decisions for various reasons. Who knows exactly what theirs truly are. Maybe they just don’t think they can play in good conscience. If so, I support them. We all should act as we truly believe.
Without knowing, I can only say, their band, their decision.
Wait, they are playing. They're getting heat for not boycotting.

Agreed. After the first album, yes. Now? No thanks.
Agreed. I’d just like to see Adam Levine but put him on mute.
I think I'd rather hear them than any of the current (younger) pop bands though.
Are they like the Oakridge boys?
Exactly like the Oak Ridge Boys, in exactly zero ways.
It’s a huge opportunity to play at halftime.
Of course they should. Why not?
