Should an immigrant need to be able to speak at least one of the national languages?
One of ... ?
The USA has no “official” national language, but by tradition uses Americanized English. I cannot imagine what national language you speak of. Perhaps Canada has multiple national languages?
Good to know I guess. Yea Canada’s national languages are English and French
If you move to Mexico you should learn how to speak Spanish. You’re gonna slow everyone down around otherwise.
They ain't getting far without it, but I don't see a reason for me to require they learn it.
For those who say there is not official language. True on the federal level but at the state level 30 states have made English official.
Didn't know that, thanks for the info
Not at all that’s stupid. On the flip side they shouldn’t get special treatment because they don’t know the common language of a country. Choices have consequences and people need to make those choices on their own.
In America it would be one of zero national languages. We don’t have a national language.
If you moved here, we’d still let you speak Canadian. 😁
