The American Heart Association has published research that found nearly half (48%) of all adults in the U.S. have heart disease and it is estimated to impact more than 121 million adults. Do you have or think you might potentially have heart disease?

More reasons to brush your teeth!
The same plaque that's on your teeth is the same plaque that gets stuck in your heart.

Two of my grandparents and one of my parents died from heart attacks, and mom has atrial fibrillation which most probably led to her having a serious stroke. I have (treated) hypertension and hypercholesterolemia, both of which are risk factors.

Heart disease runs on both sides of my family.

Both grandfathers died of heart attacks. My dad would have died of heart problems if the LVAD wasn’t invented. All of my dad’s brothers had had at least one heart attack.

I’m likely to get it.

I go to regular checkups with my doctor. No heart disease thankfully.

I don’t have heart disease. My heart is strong according to the Dr’s testing before having my cancer removal surgery.

Cardiologist says The heart is strong, a little plack in the carotid artery but no obstructions. The abdominal aorta is fine.

Heart disease runs in my family. I’m very conscientious about diet and exercise as a result.

Doubtful, at least not significantly so at this time. I just got my calcium score result from a test I took last Friday, and it, along with my other risk factors, puts my 10 year risk of a cardiac event at 5% or less.
