The US Federal government spends at least $92 billion dollars annually on “corporate welfare” special interest groups. Would it be better spent assisting States with additional funding for education, or something similar?
It would be better utilized by not collecting it from the taxpayer in the first place. Private management is always better than public when it comes to allocating resources to where they’ll best be utilized.
Okie ... you win yet again! I completely agree. Don’t give out corporate handouts, give the money back to those from whom it was taken.
Throwing more money at education (as an example that was raised) is throwing good money after bad. We have thrown billions at education and it has not produced the desired results. Countries with far less spending per capita continually outdo the US in scholastic achievements
Yes it probably would be better spent on education however I don't think the federal government should be invested in education.
