I'm a T1D so I have to drink the "diet" drinks. I prefer Powerade. Because their "Zero" has "less than 1g" of Sugar and Gatorade G2 has 8g in each serving. Gatorade sid release a "Zero" but it is hard to find and more expensive than the other products.
Gatorade has a weird aftertaste and makes your mouth feel syrupy afterward. Powerade is refreshing on occasion. I try to stay away from sports drinks in general. They're unnecessary sugar. I'm either going to drink water or turn it up to 11 and go for Pedialyte.
Gatorade tastes like garbage water. UNLESS it is a super hot day and you are extremely thirsty. Then, as long as its cold, even the yellow one is fantastic. Also, its the best for hangovers.
Powerade seems less sweet to me, and frankly more watery, which us why I like it. With Gatorade I have to water it down. I also have, er, digestive issues w Gatorade but not w Powerade. Go figure. I stay away from diet versions of both bc artificial sweeteners don’t agree w me.
Powerade, but only Powerade Zero. It’s the only energy drink that truly fits keto lifestyle. Gatorade and their zero version, and regular Powerade, all have nasty ingredients/sugar in them that’ll knock you out of ketosis/hamper weight lost/maintenance. Plus, while fruit punch and mixed berry is amazing, grape and orange taste just like grape and orange koolaid!
Kat. I'm young at heart but the rest of me is ready for a dirt nap. One of the older employees at my job, but I'm pretty independent and strong physically. Kinda goin down hill the last year though.
