Don’t fully know the info, but based on the post alone... it’s literally murder.
Hope this isn’t popularized. It’s bad enough that Republicans don’t care about life after birth.
My view is this:
Republicans seem to care a lot about a fetus before it is born. They’ll make legislation, impose criminal penalties, etc. However after it’s born it’s “hands off”. They’ll turn from being intervening fully to believing “it’s none of my business”.
A big reason why many choose to abort is because they don’t have economic means to keep a child, or a child is born with a disability that will be physically and economically draining. By forcing them to have kids, you place these mothers, and kids, under economic strain. Will republicans support funding healthcare (heck for all ages), housing, WIC, etc? Not really. We all see what happened with CHiP last year.
And my point doesn’t just extend to kids. A baby in a womb about to be aborted?Intervene. A cancer patient needing a specific treatment? None of business.
It got cut off, but here’s the full last paragraph:
And my point doesn’t just extend to kids. A baby in a womb about to be aborted?Intervene. A cancer patient needing a specific treatment? None of business.
It sounds like it will work like this. A baby is born, then made comfortable while the mother and doctor debate whether to allow the child to live. The procedure itself I haven’t heard about yet but the marine it would be similar to a late term abortion, minus the womb part.
I’m not the one proposing the bill. And how you even separate the two things, regardless of the recent outrageous push for later and later, is beyond me.
