Do you think that United States weather patterns are too extreme?

The US is host to some interesting weather extremes, but the country is large enough that large areas have a very pleasant climate.

It’s a big country with a very diverse climate. Probably yes, in some seasons in some areas, but no for the country, year round, as a whole.

In some regions.
Hurricanes here, blizzards elsewhere.
Europe has fewer extremes bc of the gulf stream and bc it's rather narrow, except in the Eastern part, you're usually less than 500 miles from the next ocean.

Maybe a little but not as crazy and out of whack weather has been in general around the world. It has flooded and snowed in Saudi Arabia not long ago which is very alarming. Also there have tons of natural disasters in Indonesia, which is typical but very sad.

Definitely. Western United States is usually warm and dry, while the Eastern US gets sweep after sweep of arctic air in the winter.

Also, arctic air reaches too far south in the United States due to lack of geographic barriers to stop the arctic air.
