Ice Cream Cone
Ok, let’s face it. While Coca-Cola unites the world, ice cream itself does not. Interested in green tea ice cream? Try Japan. Mint and Cucumber? Pop over to Great Britain. Viagra ice cream? Fly to Rome. Squid Ink ice cream? Go to China. Charcoal ice cream? Head over to India. Brown Bread ice cream? Travel to Ireland. Black licorice? Try Norway. Hungry for corn ice cream? Go straight to Taiwan. Ube? Catch a flight to Maui. Donut in ice cream form? Then you want New Zealand. Tomato? Try Russia (no, I never had it). Our tastes are as varied as our lives, climates etc but what unites them all? The cone. Whether an Irish kid is licking his brown bread ice cream, a Japanese teenager enjoying his green tea ice cream or an American President enjoying vanilla ice cream, they are all using a cone. It is universal. It is a treat and in the US, the cones can now be flavored but when we finish our ice cream, we crunch and enjoy the cone.
Another near universal joy of life!

Coca-Cola
Coca-Cola is truly a product that unites the world. It is available from US to Iceland, Russia (even when it was the USSR) to Mexico. It is found in military facilities at both poles. Found in small shops on small islands in the Caribbean to small shops on small islands belonging to Finland. It seems to be a drink that most human have a taste for. Now, it comes in different flavors but the classic Coke was a unifier. I swear, if we could sent kids from around the world to a peace summit and serve then Coca-Cola and M&M’s, we would have peace. I don’t know if North Koreans have it (I assume no) but the Chinese do. Coke operates in both cooperative and hostile regions in the world. It unifies us and there is a bit of a comfort in that. We see that we are not so different from each other.
I prefer Cherry-Vanilla-Coke but classic Coke just reminds me of the things humans have in common.
Coca-Cola, uniting the world 😋🥤
