A federal judge has ruled that AT&T can proceed with its planned acquisition of Time Warner, rejecting the Justice Department’s allegations that the deal would suppress competition. Good move?
Ma Bell is growing again to rule the world.
It’s crazy how big that company will be. Larger than every single competitor combined. Frightening times.
AT&T is a total shit show! Had them for years for wireless. Pricing kept going up while customer service became non-existant. Basically telling me we don’t care about you or your acct, just pay us.
No. The last thing we need is another Ginormous conglomerate.
They already have ownership over DirecTV so wtf. Greedy fking companies.
So what, if you actually care put your money where your mouth is and dont use AT &T and directv. There are plenty of better alternatives to both. The more government gets involved the easier it is for companies to use barriers to keep competition out with the force of government behind them. Really the only barrier that can be used in a free market is creating a product so good that people dont try to compete or cannot. When thats the case it is irrelevant how much market share a company has, but generally it is less than when the government interferes
Bad ruling for the reasons already mentioned.
Oh, no we agree. I can’t believe it. 😂. 👋 hey EB.
Hi eagle! 🤗
The more government gets involved, the easier it is to have a monopoly, ideally they would just stay out of it. AT&T had a monopoly in the first place due to regulations and help from the government.
Used to have AT@T, no more. Horrible service.
Rates rocket when there’s no competition. But his is a bad ruling
*this is a bad ruling
How long before consumers start calling it a monopoly once again and we go thru the whole Baby Bell scenario again?
I guess my nephew’s job is safe.
Breaking up monopolies is a democratic ideal. Why are you shying away from this now? Is it just because trump is in charge?
Freedom what you said doesn’t make sense
Pick up a history book then. You people don't even know the history of your own party
