Do you have a college degree?
I have a post-graduate degree from the Universite' Paris Sorbonne.
Yes I do and I’m very proud of it.
I’m not sure why the stats for those with bachelors, masters and doctorates isn’t 100%...
A PhD is lesbian dance doesn’t really count as a college degree.
Some people here aren’t old enough to go to college yet, and for others, college is too expensive.
Yeah, and that’s fine. But if that’s their case, why are they saying they have a degree? Lol
Sol ... college is not too expensive for those who prepare. Scholarships are plentiful. If you messed around in school, grants can cover almost the entire cost of many colleges.
Bachelors, masters, and doc. After completing the dissertation process, I now understand why about 50% of people who start a doctorate never finish. Oy.
You got that right Chica!!! 😜🤪😎
Chica ... what discipline?
I dropped out of college in 2006. Today, I have a mortgage and a car loan, zero debt beyond that.
Working on my masters for robotics engineering currently
I have a BA and I'm working on my MFA.
I have 3 degrees, BA, MA, PHD. I am proud of my academic accomplishments and my 40 years of service as a college professor. But I am now thankfully retired, hung up my cap and gown, filed those diplomas away, and spend my time quilting and reading romance novels. Haha 😂🤪😁🤣. Was it worth it, yes. My college degree opened doors for me that I never would have been able to do on my own. My advice: stay in school, study hard, do more than the minimum required to get by. Take pride in your work and constantly challenge yourself to improve. No one is looking for a mediocre employee, they want the best. Be the best you can be. Take advantage of scholarships, work study jobs, internships, and work experience opportunities. Volunteer and do community service. Learn to speak clearly and write well. Don’t waste this precious opportunity doing stupid shit. Party responsibly, and be the role model in your group of friends. ASK FOR HELP when you need it. We are here for you, just ask.
This is good advice
Fun ... what discipline?
Starting college in the fall though
I’m going into my freshman year in college this fall 😄
Do you know what your majoring in? Just curious
Have fun! Just don’t forget you’re still at school and still have to do it! :P
finalfr0ntier - Computer Engineering
So 7% of people with Bachelor's Degrees, 5% of people with Master's Degrees, and 3% of people with Doctorates don't have college degrees.
Also 9% of students in K-12 have college degrees. Makes sense.
And 30% of undergraduates have college degrees. Makes sense.
To be fair, my wife did running start and had an associates degree before she graduated high school, but I doubt that’s what’s going on here
Yeah, I have a BA in General Studies. I could have stuck around for all 8 semesters and gotten a BS in Psych, but I wanted to graduate a semester early and I correctly surmised that my current employer wouldn't care what my degree said so long as I got one.
Study shows that 30% of undergraduates lied to this question, 10% of K-12 lies and 1% of high school diplomas lied
Not yet. After fall 2018 I will have my degree.
I got my doctorate of pharmacy last month and just got accepted into a MBA program 30 minutes ago
Lord willing, I will this December. Then I will need to get my Masters of Accountancy and pass that pesky CPA exam.
No, but I’m looking at possibly going back this fall.
It took me years to get my butt in gear and get my degree, but once I did it was a clean sweep. 4 straight years and killed it. Timing is everything. Hope you can nail it!
Four with my masters and 36 post grad credits. Spent more on my education than my house.
BA in Psychology (1970).
Took two semesters at a community college then dropped out.
2 Bachelors and a Masters
I have a certificate from a trade school.
I have learned more in my 20 years after school than my 20 years during school.
How in Gods holy names dos only 96% of people with bachelors degrees have college degrees
They don't read the question lol
No the one that confuses me is how can 9% of current k-12 have college degrees?
What does God’s name have to do with the confusion of some users?
About to get my Bachelor's of the Arts in Anthropology with a minor Classics.
Don't even have my highschool degree.
Either not many black people use SOH or the people at SOH are cutting out stats that paint blacks in poor light.
BA, but what’s more important, is what are you are doing or have done to make use of your college degree, to help you maximize your career success❗️
A Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in clothing, textiles, and retailing
A Masters of Arts in secondary education
A Masters of Arts in reading
I just finished freshman year of high school, not yet lol
I wonder why I'm not surprised to see that more democrats than republicans have a college degree?
Sugar ... because they hand out degrees in women’s studies when you fill up a Prius. More degrees doesn’t say that those are degrees that hold ANY value! It certainly says nothing about levels of intelligence!
Nope. Just graduated my sophomore year of high school. But I do plan on attending college.
A degree at whatsamatteru
BS in Biology
B.S., Cum Laude, Business Admin.
M.Ed., Educational Admin.
Ed.S., Educational Admin.
Ab.D.—All but dissertation for Ph.D in Educational Admin. (completed all coursework and comps)
That’s hilarious. This app thinks a college honor is a dirty word. 🙀
Not at all, but personally I think you need the best ROI. If you have a huge inheritance and don’t need a career then you can just study art and philosophy all day. But if you don’t then you need to learn a skill to provide for your family and retirement. Otherwise you’re just wasting time and money.
But I am an uneducated racist that supports Hitler - or so we have all been told.
😂🤣😂 ... and you believe rapid leftists?
I'll be starting my Master's in the fall
B.A. in Physics and Mathematics, 2years of grad school in Physics (no thesis, was forced to drop out due to family illness)
B.B.A. kinda shocked I'm not seeing more here.
Of course I have a BS.
I also obtained my master of education this December. It was a glorified “I paid for this” degree.
BS & MS in Computer Engineering. More importantly, more than 30 years worth of experience in the field.
BA in History and another BA in Political Science.
BA in Vocal Music (Percussion minor) and Master of Church Music (Choral Conducting). 🎼
Don’t you have an English degree? These days you need one to teach it at a secondary level.
I didn’t remember that you were a musician, TomLaney1. Cool!
I got my associates last year and am working on my bachelor. Only three years to go!
Johon ... what course of study?
Physics and Econ. Though I’m considering physics and comp. sci.
I was paid to go to college. So yeah I finished. I got more money in grants than I needed. Especially since the first year I spent living in my van and making only cash. I was 17 years old, emancipated and not reporting any income.
What do you have? And in what?
Double majored in art and philosophy. It’s worth about 10cents and a good conversation
Same as my niece. What’s your job now?
Independent contractor. I do finishes mostly
I got my c33 contracting license while I was in college and started painting houses
That’s awesome. I have a lot of respect for you. I was a union rough framer and roofer for years. That’s when my body could do that. I saved up and payed for my pilots license and then got loans from my dad for a big aviation college. I didn’t need the college portion to get a job as an airline pilot and wasted a lot of time and money. But at least got through college with multiple science and business degrees in 3 years.
Thanks man. Roofing has got to be one of the toughest jobs. Probably makes getting multiple degrees seem like a breeze.
