Bring me my squared pizza dammit. Or at least let me cut it that way like the italians make me do.
I prefer pizza, not lasagna and pizza’s godforsaken brother.
I like deep dish. Not cardboard with cheese on it.
Not really a fan of meat pies
NY will have one of the best pizza joints in the US to the worst of them like those $1 pizza shops run by Hispanics, attempting to ruin its reputation.
Or Famiglia, which is a chain. Please don’t even think about walking in one of them. The outskirts of NYC usually has the best like a few in Brooklyn or two or three in Little Italy.
Pepe’s pizza amirite
New york pizza is cardboard
Must have went to one that is part of a chain like Famiglia 🤷🏻♂️
Both as long as it's dripping in cheese 😁
I don’t even care. Pizza is amazing always. Unless it has pineapple. That should be illegal.
Two different things. Like downhill and cross country skiing.
NY does it best, baby! Accept no imitations.
It’s not pizza! It’s tomato soup in a bread bowl
Yes! Illinois goes red!
Deep dish pizza is horrible and is a disgrace to pizza and pizza lovers enjoy your crappy chitcago pizza while me and Jon Stewart have some excellent NYC pizza
Never get tired of this rant
Chicago deep dish is amazing, especially Gino’s East.
New York pizza is great, but it’s more for a quick lunch.
The one thing we should all agree on is everyone wants to punch the New Yorker when talking or eating pizza outside of NYC.
Chicago-style thin crust, cut in squares. But between these two, deep dish easily.
New york style but i also really like the deep dish chicago pizza too. Damn I love pizza!!!!
both are delicious
I lost a lot of respect for you
every time I go back to Chicago I make sure I get a deep dish pizza and portillos.
There is no place better than Portillo’s. The dogs, burgers, pasta, Italian beef. Even their damn chicken sandwich was a slice of heaven. I need my company to send me back out to Chicago.
yeah. too bad since they have been sold, the food isn't as good. I still love going there, but it's not quite the same.
and you can't forget the cake shake either.
I have never had true Chicago style pizza. But I have had true New York style pizza and I enjoy it.
I ain't opposed to Chicago style, but it had better be good.
Pour a ton of sauce all over that thick slice of pizza! Just drown that sucker!
Giordanos, Gino’s East, Pizzeria Uno are more like pizza lasagna. So so good.
I wish I could select both lol. Pizza is pizza.
Deep Dish isnt every day Chicago pizza. Always bothers me about these polls.
I like my home made pizza best. I make the dough myself so it is totally homemade!
If NYC can do anything right, it’s make pizza.
I don’t care. If it’s got melted cheese I’m in
Same here! My Dad actually made the statement that I’d eat anything if you put melted cheese on it. 😂
I don’t know that I’ve ever had legit Chicago style pizza. I’m dying to try it.
It’s the best.
Thin crust is best, but every so often I like deep dish.
Love them both. Had them both in their respective cities. All things equal....NY.
Was considering doing this same exact poll, oh well!
The thinner the crust, the better the pizza.
NY all the way. Chicago pizza is a messy casserole.
Is that pic of NY pizza accurate? That looks a Chuck E Cheese slice. Lol.
It's pretty accurate. It needs to be shot at a different angle so you can see how thick the crust is.
Chuck E Cheese has great pizza
Isn’t pizza in NYC generally thinner unless it’s Sicilian?
The only reason to go to Chuck E. Cheese is to get drunk
It’s the only way to get through an hour.
I’d be lying if I said I’ve never been wasted at a chuck e cheese. Or maybe it was actually Dave & Busters and I just mistook a fat old lady for being Chuck...
I have to take my kid to Dave and busters for his birthday dinner....🍺
Pretty sure Chuck E. Cheese doesn’t have those dingy plates. Looks like a stock photo of Brooklyn pizza
Chicago Style wins. Thin Crust is like eating crackers with toppings on them.
No it's nothing like that. Only in Ohio would a pizza be like that
Eh, perhaps. I was raised on Regular (medium crust) and Deep Dish (Chicago). I know I like Deep Dish a lot better, though having 3 kids has burned me out on all pizza 🤢.
a good NY slice is amazing. I like deep dish, but they’re different animals entirely.
Deep dish, ideally Detroit style, but of these Chicago style will do. Not a fan of the thin crust style that always reminds me of spaghetti sauce spilled on a piece of cardboard.
Sounds like you had bad, New York style pizza.
Funny though. I never considered NY Style to be thin crust. There is waaaay thinner.
One is pizza as intended. The other as a savory cake.
It’s not even close. Chicago.
Eat cake if you wish.
Regular “medium crust” pizza, but “Chicago” between the two.
If you like thick crust Chicago is the clear winner! NYC is like a flappy pizza
It's crispy, not floppy
Back in the day, native New Yorkers used to fold a slice in half, and it’s called a Lodi fold cuz, apparently, it originated there.
Medium thickness medium crust is the best
But NY over Chicago for sure
Never had Chicago's but looks yummy, NY was bigger than my damn face!
I hate deep dish.
Idk how people love it- too much sauce!
Too much bread
I know, right? Too me, the bread is a waste of stomach space. Gimme the good stuff with just enough bread!
*to me, not too
It’s a heart attack on a pie crust
This crust all the way. Chicago is ok once and a while.. 🍕
