The Democrats have increased homelessness three fold over the past 10 years alone.

This is what happens when living in a one-party state. And these so-called leaders want to bring their “ideas” to the rest of the country.

Both the Democrats and the Republicans are to blame for this mess as stated in this article..

It has been a problem for many years and ignored by both parties. Ignoring it won't make it go away. Now that the homeless camps have been encroaching closer to more businesses and homes, homelessness has only recently been getting the attention it deserves. However, it seems the human heart is more concerned on "just removing them" than hoping for the betterment of the homeless individual. This topic needs proper funding and true compassion to fully see an end to this issue, both of which seem to be missing from the Reagan years to Schwarzenegger and up to the Brown years as CA Governors.

@wold sorry, to blame Reagan is ridiculous. And this article is coming from a SF paper which is hardly accurate (closer to a “communist rag” so to speak) hardly partial since their guys in Sacramento are the problem since 1988 and a takeover in 1992. Newson and Brown with their supermajority supremacy have had most of the 2000’s to help at least reduce this. Instead they’ve made it much worse by liberalizing petty crime jailing, policing, and drug offenses. Most of these people on the streets are drug addicts.
This is the Democrats doing no doubt and they still want to blame Republicans? What even when the handful are gone, they’re still going to blame them? Ridiculous.

Most on the streets have mental issues more than drug users. Who ended funds for many of the mental health clinics? Reagan.

The only thing ridiculous is your blame-only on the Democrats. Both parties have some degree to blame. And this was also explained to me by one of the heads of The Salvation Army who help feed the homeless on a daily basis.

Two extremes...but I’ve seen them both.

The one on the right is more accurate

California has a huge homeless population. Terrible

Although it’s not as bad in my city, I imagine the larger cities are struggling.

I live in the Bay Area, and let me tell ya, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows like people think. We’re moving as soon as possible to somewhere without outrageous pricing and taxes.

I like how someone actually from Cali voted the trash while people in the midwest were dumb enough to vote for the lambo and modern mansion :)

The picture on the right is a more accurate representation for the majority in California these days. California is rapidly growing a socioeconomic structure that mirrors a third world country due to its dying middle class. There's the super rich and the people who barely scrape by with nothing in between. That's why California's middle class is fleeing the state en masse for other states with a better quality of life like Oregon, Idaho, Texas, and Arizona.

I just want to bring awareness of California’s homelessness problem with this poll:

That is all.

Not surprising. If I were homeless I’d get the first bus to California and capitalize on their softness

I’d pick a nice tree to put up the tent near in front of Barbara’s house!
