President Trump has described the Singapore Summit as “a get-to-know-you kind of situation” and “a process” that may take many meetings. If Trump doesn’t exact concessions from Kim in Singapore, then is it natural or a sign Trump is being snookered?

It took multiple meetings for Reagan and Gorbachev to come to agreements.

Kim will play Trump as long as he can, no one knows where his weapons are and he isn’t going to tell. The Kim family has proven that they can’t be trusted. But with that said, diplomacy is better than confrontation.

Negotiations take time. No one sits down with something that they have a bad relation with and resolves everything on the first try.

Absolutely. You know how long it took to cool things down with the Soviet Union? Eventually we did head that way significantly after we agreed to sign the INF.

Negotiating is a process.

Not at all. This will be a long process.

I’m pretty sure one meeting will not resolve all our differences. Half the meeting will be spent deciding when the next meetings will occur.
