Last night we were talking about Roseanne. My dad said the lesson of this to should not be liberal vs conservative etc but that words count. They can impact not only our lives but lives of innocents. Think of words as bricks, the can build or kill.
Good idea. The liberals decided to equate Black people to primates. I guess they had a reason. Now if you say anything remotely linking a black person to a great ape π¦ you are violating a liberal rule. Once I saw an ad of the world map. Russia had a bear π» , US had a Buffalo , Canada a seal, China a Panda and Africa a monkey π. Guess which one the liberals were upset about?
What I’ve learned recently is that words can be forgiven but they can never be forgotten. Whether or not you can forgive her for what she said she can never take it back.
I was listening to people talk to me about Samantha Bee calling Ivanka Trump a C**t. The all agreed that’s her type of TV show and if you don’t like you can turn it off. They wen on further to say it’s ultimately about the money. If people don’t turn then the network will cancel the show. I first thought if that was true for Samantha why wouldn’t it to be true for Rosanne. Should we vote with our viewership.
That’s true if it’s an actor. However, what about your colleagues, friends, classmates, boss, employees, employers etc. You can’t turn them off and mores the point, they can’t turn you off. Once those words leave your mouth, you can’t take them back. If they have hurt, the hurt will always be a bit of a wound. If they have encouraged or helped, the good feeling will always remain, even if only a bit.
I thought it was kind of smart of him to make the point. Not that any of us are extremely verbal.
Best to be careful because words can also kill a person’s career. I don’t doubt that some people would have been hurt by Roseanne’s comments. Valarie Jarrett is not one of them. She will continue to make all the hay she can from it, however. Did you see her on TV with Rev Al? I know she has deep Communist ties and that she is very smart and conniving. Hard to see how even she could tolerate being on the same stage with that man.
