Republicans in California are now third in registrations, behind independents, is voting for a republican in California now a wasted vote?

If a person votes with their heart and can consciously support what the candidate represents, it is not a wasted vote.

That being said, I think electoral voted should be distributed proportionally so as to give republicans in California and democrats in Texas a fairer vote

That sounds a lot like a popular vote : )

Difference is with this, Trump would win the electoral vote still

Well I'm very cynical about splitting votes because they seem to only be aimed at states with democrat support. If it's good for California and Texas it's good for all of them right?

The electoral vote would have been almost the same interestingly enough

Then I don't get it, if it doesnt matter why split them up?

Wasted vote? Of course not - what the stat shows is that neither major Party is worth a sou.

People died so we could vote. Voting is a privilege that deserves respect and responsibility as a citizen. Who you vote for is your right.

I’m big on voting as our right, so I don’t believe any vote is a waste.

This is merely a play on people who say voting third paprty is throwing your vote away.
