I predict California will turn red by 2020. Do you agree?

All the Republican Californian dead voters shall rise up and be counted!

Hillary won California by 4 million votes. There are conservative areas of California, but not enough people to overview the major population centers that are heavily blue.

Do you think all those votes were valid?

It may turn red, but will take longer than 2020...

Oh I wish! That would be amazing! I don't know though. Maybe if we deported all the illegal immigrants...

I really hope John Cox can pull a trumpcard! #JohnCox4CAGov

I'm interested to see what will happen on June 11.

Did you hear about June 11 from sources other than me?

I think Texas has a higher chance of turning blue, and that’s not happening either

No way is that a higher chance

How so? Texas has been trending blue due to its cities growing (Houston, Dallas, etc). California lacks that trend.

You mean due to illegals flooding across the border.

Only if the believe that conspiracy theory.

Regardless, I suppose you are admitting that Texas will be blue?

I would hope we would be red from embarrassment over having elected Newsom, Harris, and Feinstein.

As a California native, I can confidently tell you that this will not happen. If anything, California will move further to the left. Republican registration in the Golden State is continuing its decades-long slide into statistical irrelevancy. Regions of the state that were once red islands in a sea of liberalism as recently as 2004
(Orange County, San Diego County, the Inland Empire, & the Central Valley) have flipped to leaning blue or solid blue. Conservative Californians continue to flee the state for places like Idaho, Texas, Arizona, & Nevada. While these Californian refugees are likely to turn the states they move to redder, the loss of them will turn California even bluer.

That history is correct but may Californians are starting to see the negative aspects of open borders and are fighting back. June 11th will be a big day too! Look for some BIG news that will turn people toward conservative values.

I admire your optimism, but I remain extremely skeptical. What’s so special about June 11th.

Sorry, that period was supposed to be a question mark. I’m genuinely curious to learn what’s so special about June 11th.

The day that evil and corruption on unprecedented levels will be displayed to the world. Mark it on your calendar and watch the news.

Inland Empire is actually still somewhat red. We have a lot of Republican officials at the county level here in Riverside County.

But I agree with you Glux on the rest. It's sad.

Unfortunately even Riverside County tilts blue these days. It's only a slight Democratic lean compared to the rest of the state, but even that's depressing considering that it could usually be counted on for solid GOP victories just 15-20 years ago. Riverside County went from a 17-point landslide for Bush in 2004 to a solid 6-point win for Hillary Clinton in 2016. Kern County, home to Bakersfield, is the only reliably red county left in Southern California, but Republicans are declining there too (albeit at a much slower pace).

Given the quiet insurrection going on within Kalifornia city governments it may be possible. Not sure I’d hold my breath.

I can’t see how this is possible. Not going to happen. Maybe large swaths of California are red but by and large, blue.

I actually agree with gluxford1 and his comment. 🙂

That may be too soon. Lots of conservatives are still fleeing the state to avoid persecution.
