One study from the University of Maryland found that 22% leave and stay out after tracking a sample size in Maryland. I don’t know factual numbers at a larger scale but when you give people they tend to build a dependency. I’m not talking about people who might be laid off and need temporary assistance to land another job but certainly there are people who get accustomed to the welfare life. That’s what socialism builds, a nation of reliance.

Welfare builds a society of need, it traps people and only a few see the light and come out.

Many do come out, but they remain among the minority. Many do get the help that they need, but many are also still stuck in the poverty cycle. The system is in need of some revisions even if there are many successes.
