Are you more optimistic or pessimistic for the future of the world/human race?
Pessimistic. But then again I don't have a future right now either.
Very optimistic for the world, as the world will do just fine without human intervention. Guardedly optimistic for humanity, because while we are on the whole (temporarily, I hope) failing miserably at being humane here, decent people in other parts of the world are to at least some extent making up for it.
After Trump, I became very pessimistic.
Wow I didn't think Trump had so much power over you.
Why do you give him so much power of you ?
I don’t, but his lack for respect of our Republic and it’s institutions, the Presidency and anyone who is not his base terrifies me!
🤔 can I ask why without seeming too argumentative?
Antonio Gramsci's famous quote seems relevant here: "Pessimism of the intellect, optimism of the will." That is, rationally, when observing the world, we can't but be pessimistic. Yet, we are determined to remain optimistic in order to motivate ourselves to continue to struggle for a new world each day.
