Democracy without sacrifice and cooperation is doomed to destruction. The seeds are there, they are watered with inequality, greed and poverty. Fed by irrational absolutism, lack of empathy, and religious extremism, democracy cannot survive.

The government swings one way or the other but always a natural balance. Radical philosophy's create anomalies that grow to offset a natural balance and the system collapses. Leaving it open to a dictatorship or communist society. Debate is essential, absolutism destroys the process.
