Sudoku or crossword?
I <3 #s
Like Sudoku, but prefer Kakuro or KenKen!
I do sudoku daily
How about sudoku vs kenken :)
No clue how to play sudoku
you start with a 9x9 grid, divided into 9 3x3 grids with some numbers in it. your goal is to fill out the rest of the 9x9 grid with numbers so that each row, column, and 3x3 has the every number 1-9, with no repeats.
I usually only get a handful of answers in the weekly People magazine crossword ???? I tend to be more successful with sudoku
I try and do a crossword every day. Only easy or medium though!
I haven't the pop culture knowledge for crosswords... Or the spelling skills.
I don't want to seem sexist but I am surprised there is not a bigger gender difference.
I've always really liked sudoku.
Sudoku. Numbers are fun.
I love crosswords and sudoku. Why make me choose?
Crosswords make me feel dumb.
I like soduku puzzles better. Becuase I can't spell.
Get a Dictionary.
If you're using iOS 5 or later, you have a system dictionary built in.
I like both. However, I don't like crosswords that require a thesaurus or dictionary. I'm better at math so if I have to choose between a 7-letter word for married or where a number goes in a pattern, I'll take the number.
my sister loves sudoku..I cannot figure out how to do it. she explained how to do it, and it went in one ear out the other
When I was about to check the results, I expected a large Republican margin in favor of crosswords considering Sudoku is a Japanese puzzle activity, and therefore might be considered "un-american".
I was doing Sudoku YEARS AND YEARS ago under the name "Cross Sum" in an American math magazine. It has been credited with being Japanese b/c that's when it gained popularity, but it's been around America much longer.
Sorry... Not called "Cross Sums."--that's now Kakuro. They were called "Number Place." I guess I shouldn't comment in the middle of the night; my brain quits working! LOL
Wow, this is weird. Right now it looks like Tony has another Stripe America challenge going???
After people started to realize Sudoku can be solved by process of elimination the fad dropped off people went back to crosswords.
I like both, but answered Sudoku because I like it more.
Crossword, I don't know what the other one is.
That's because you need logic to solve it!
I'm not quite sure how to play sudoku. I know , I know. Im lame. A friend of mine is a master at it though. Give me a crossword, some coffee and a pencil with a good eraser and I'm happy. :)
At least with Sudoku I can fill it in without help. I stuck at crossword puzzles.
Crossword!! And I fill them in with a pen with rarely a write-over!! I've never been very good with numbers and sudoku just freaks me out looking at it. I've tried it but it wasn't any fun. Crosswords are total fun for me!! English/languages are more my thing than numbers.
Sudoku for me! I'm much more mathematically minded than lingually minded. I hate English class.
I don't mind English, but there's no synonyms for 1-9, so sudoku involves less muddling. Therefore it has my preference as well
Sudoku isn't math, it's logic using numbers.
I would argue that logic using numbers IS math, at its basest level :) whether or not it is sophisticated, logic and reasoning using numbers is key in all forms of math, so it would probably fall into that category, while logic and reasoning with words would be more English oriented
I like both, but I play suduko the most
I aspire to be as good as my dad was at crosswords. He filled them in with a pen.
That made me smile :) My dad did as well :)
My grandparents did too. One day...lol
math is hard
Math is easy.
Soduko does not have anything to do with math, even though it uses numbers. It is strictly logic. It would be the same idea, if the puzzle used the letters A through I or nine different objects, for example. In fact, I have seen Soduko puzzles that do just that.
Total sudoku geek right here. Sometimes I even do them at work--shhhhhhhhh!
I'm sure that's pretty minor on the list of at-work offenses :)
Sukodo seems hard can someone show me how to play?
You just put numbers in random boxes and pray.
You have to have the numbers 1-9 in each box, down each column, and across each row. There can't be two of any number in any given row, column, or three by three box. Each row/column and box should have numbers that add up to 45.
Emwait, you don't have to worry about adding the numbers up. You just have to make sure you have all numbers, 1 through 9.
Anyway, I think random may have been asking for tips on how to solve he puzzle. If so, that's complicated and hard to explain in 300 characters.
Thanks that helped alot.
I'm not smart enough for crosswords :(
Sudoku! You only have to know 9 numbers. For crosswords, you have to know Mel Gibson's cousin's gardener's middle name...
Sudoku for mindlessness. Crosswords to feel sexy. (Btw, you crossworders are, to me, all sexy beasts!)
I have never done, or considered doing, Sudoku. I think I am, by nature, more a 'word person', and generally do very well on crossword puzzles, and other word-type games. I've been trying to get my friends to join Words With Friends, but they all tell me if I'm doing it, they won't join! :D
I don't particularly like either. But I have played sudoku quite a bit an I've never gotten into cross word puzzles at all so I have to go with sudoku. Lol.
I like math and numbers #nerdproblems
I do too. Any apps you particularly like? I have several sudokus, kakurus and found only one kenken. Always looking for more free puzzles. :) thanks
Sarah, not really an app, but I do some free puzzles at websudoku.com.
Love crosswords. HATE sudoku. Numbers are my enemy.
Kakuro (Cross Sums)
Sudoku is rote. Crosswords are different everyday and involve knowledge, I like sudoku but it's the same every day.
There are alterations to classic Sudoku out there. For example, in a book I found titled Higher Sudoku, there's random block sudoku, plus one sudoku, and multi-unit sudoku.
Sudoku is much preferred.
It's all about numbers and logic.
I suck at crosswords but I love love love sudoku!!!
My real love is tangle words though.
I like numbers and patterns better than words also I can never finish a crossword by myself it's frustrating
I'm a logophile.
Never got into sudoku.
Love both, and Ken Ken as well!!
I love kenkens
If I will get forth college engineering degree, you should know what I like one of those choices.
Well, you're certainly not showing off your word skills in that answer. Congrats on your degree. ;)
KellyW...you just make sure you should not hurt my feeling. :-)
crosswords are impossible, sudoku all the way
