I'm currently in my busiest week of the semester for college and I haven't posted a poll in awhile (much less a lighthearted one), so: What brings you joy?
Time with my family!
Being close God>friends>family
Family, traveling, great food, a relaxing bath, sipping hot tea
Living life and enjoying its pleasures. Knowledge, fucking, love, wine, and levity are what fuel my happiness.
My family - especially my 2 little great- grandsons, ages 2.5 and 11 months.
I enjoy being around other people, helping them when I can, while🤣laughing😂 & comforting, them when their 😥sad😓
Plus walking my pup twice a day👍🏻❗️
Spending four hours on a test this afternoon and being able to write primarily about colonialism without being off topic.
Try your hardest, exams can be a bitch. As my luck would have it, all of my exams this semester are at home essays....four classes...four papers...all due within three days of each other.
I agree that meandering off topic isn't a good idea though. This is your final, not your manifesto, lol.
Yes, I agree with you. But it's great when the subject is something I'm passionate about. It allows the words to flow right from the pen
Quietly sipping that first cup of hot coffee in the morning.
Watching my husband wrestle and play with our dogs.
Family and traveling.
Really sitting down and listening to good music.
Getting on the ice and playing hockey. (Won our summer session championship with my brother and dad. Felt extremely joyful and much pride standing next if to my dad for the team picture after the win. I've grown up watching play beer leagues so to win my first with him was special. Also, me and my bro got the only two goals to win 2-1)
And enjoying a nice beer with a few close friends
You my grandchildren. They remind me that their parents learned the lessons we tried to share, and their enthusiasm for life is inspiring.
Simple things. A good talk with a loved one. The sound of a baby laughing. Cozy nights. Laughing with my husband and daughter.
Getting my Amazon packages.
Duck billed platypuses
Seeing/hearing smiles and laughter.
I love being with my family and hearing my children laugh.
Long Nordic walks outside, video games, listening to music, helping others, learning something new (I’m learning to cook), laughing at something funny at school (we often have fun), being alone, my cat etc. Many things make me happy
Many things but my kids top the list!
Being a dad.
time with the people I cherish.
• Making music (singing or playing drums and percussion).
• Seeing the light bulb go on over a student's head when he finally understands what I'm talking about.
• Noticing an unexpected blessing from God.
• Being with my kids and/or grandsons.
• Waking up next to my wife every morning and knowing that it's already a good day!
• Discovering a new insight in God's Word. ✟
When my kids want to hang out with me, or even just talk.
That is priceless...
Music, family, work, and my country.
Being able to see my boyfriend before and after he goes to USMC boot camp, getting letters from him (It’s the only form of contact we have while he is in boot camp), and my job.
Sweet! May he return safely and always be by your side.
Winning. Doesn't matter if it's a chess game or a debate or whatever, just winning.
Just like Charlie sheen. 😂😂😂
Just in time for the holiday season too.
Anyway, I'm a pretty simple person. Walking outside under the falling snow today was nice, especially with no strong winds blowing it around, which is rare.
Also I get to see my girlfriend on Thursday and she always makes me smile.
And of course, music. There's nothing a good ABBA song can't fix ;)
