Do you think we should say "please" and "thank you" when using a virtual assistant such as Alexa or Google Assistant?

The only “assistant” I’ve used is in driving. I would feel kind of silly saying thank you when the voice tells me to get in the left lane. Maybe if I asked her questions I would feel differently - that’s more like communicating. But, I haven’t done that yet.

Whether we should or not, we certainly do. Alexa is always polite, so why wouldn’t we be polite to her in return?

It’s not necessary, but it could serve to both remember your manners while at the same time telling the device that you’re finished.
