A guest on an MSNBC morning show labeled Republicans as domestic terrorists & called for them to be locked up. Host Joy Reid had no qualms about her guestโ€™s insinuation & casually carried on. How do you view the behavior displayed in this situation?

No more or less disturbing than Fox News, or Rush Limbaugh piss and moan about how liberals and democrats are evil.

It just butt hurts a different part of the snowflake continuum.

Disturbing. This guy is a democrat pollster? No wonder polls kept saying Hillary was going to win. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Blame your opponents for the crimes/treasonous opinions you commit/ have.

As an independent, I hate both major political parties, but come on, it's not news that MSM favors democrats.

It’s real hard trying to have a civil & sane conversation with an unhinged Leftist, who’s calling normal, law abiding people, who oppose & disagree with them, outlandish things like terrorists, even their Liberal peeps & press enable & encourage themโ—๏ธYa can’t make peace, while someone is verbally punching you in the mouth or kicking you in the groin, and don’t try an tell the right is doing it, the same or more than the leftโ€ผ๏ธ

It’s kind of hard to work together with someone who wants to see you imprisoned for having a different opinion.

Ridiculous but not scary... just someone having a stupid opinion. There's plenty of this on both sides, especially on SOH. Sad.

And what if someone with this stupid opinion were to obtain political power?

It’s a disturbing window into how many on the modern American left view those who disagree with them. They don’t see them as fellow Americans who have different ideas on how to address important issues in our society, but instead see them as an insidious “other” that needs to be brought to heel. This also explains their refusal to condemn political violence perpetrated against conservatives or, in some cases, their open endorsement of it.

I think he's using the term "domestic terrorists" because he sees the political stance as being harmful to 9 million children. It's still idiotic to use that term. The Republican managed to state something with a similar desired outcome without any hysterical notes at all, let alone an accusation like that. What I see as more illogical, though, is claiming that the same people are "pro pedophilia" and some of the other terms he used; that's just really not supported by evidence.

But some of the things that you mentioned in your comment, glux, are almost *exactly* what I feel when I read comments from *some* conservatives here who decry liberals - as a whole group, not modified by "some" - as vile people - conservatives who *also* don't see liberals as fellow Americans. I've seen some really awful statements about liberals, in general, here, especially in the last couple of weeks (or else I've just become more sensitive to it in that time frame).

Here's one example: "...the liberals... So insufferable, so hypocritical. Really the worse humanity has to offer."

Another suggested that all liberals (or was it all Democrats) should be deported. (I know that's just idiotic, but I've seen a couple suggestions like that. They can't be serious, but clearly they're not seeing liberals as fellow Americans.)

Reading things like this as a liberal who just wants a good and decent society for us all, I don't understand what *I* have done that is so horrible as to be deemed "the worst that humanity has to offer." Or someone who people would rather not see living in the US at all.
