I can run a sub 5:30 mile and an 18 minute 5k, so I’d say yes.

Normally, yes. I have run an 18:02 cross country 5k (female) and can play most other sports with some degree of skill. As of now, I am sick and on crutches for a knee injury. Life is good.

My ability at any sport is inversely proportional to the movement required. I shot a pretty good game of pool at one time. You’re almost motionless while doing it.

I used to be an Olympic class swimmer. But I'm old now.

God no. I've had shin splints, bursitis, fractures all from really basic exercise because of my bad joints, all before I'm 16.

I had to say no... because I’m a great athlete

I was pretty darn fast when I ran track my first two years of high school. I really wish I had stuck with it. No telling where that path might've taken me.

Kind of. I’m above the population average for 20 year old males. I’m average for the fitness crowd, and abysmal for competitive standards. 5:35 min/mi personal record sounds good until you realize that most track athletes my age run sub 4:30 if they don’t want to be left in the dust for the 1600.

Yeah. I'm a good racquetball player and distance runner. I usually place in the top 5% at any local 5k, 10k, or mud run.

Better hand-eye coordination and anticipation than anyone I’ve ever met. And I tend to win at every sport, even ones I just started playing, like volleyball... Guess that’s another reason I’m not a democrat.

I was. I don't know if I'll be able to run after I get my knee scoped (torn meniscus), but I used to play basketball for at least an hour a day when I was in was part of my workout routine. Weight machines, 2 miles on the track, basketball.

These days, I had been jogging 1.3 miles a day, and doing crunches and freeweights.

Not in a conventional sense, but I work out 5-6 days a week, so I would still say so. I’m not great at traditional sports (anything involving a ball, basically). But dance, yoga, spinning, running, and strength training still count in my book!

Not anymore since my joints are so damn unstable. Used to be a good dancer, also great at yoga, ppl asked me tons about teaching. Was good at swimming for like a year but hated getting cold. Now one ultimate frisbee game wrecks my knees for over a month. So working out is pt basically

Depends on what athlete is defined as.

I mean if you compare it to the rest of America, anyone who can run for more than 30 seconds is a pretty good athlete.
