Although I support net neutrality, there may be certain benefits to getting rid of it. For example, telecom companies could use their increased power to censor far-right content & destroy the alt-right. Will nixing net neutrality hurt the far-right?

Corporations seek consumers. If a majority of ISPs decide to in a way censor ideas, some other company may find it more profitable to platform those abandoned by those seeking to censor.

There is also the fact that if you try to censor the message, those that spout the message will have a justification for their own actions and may receive support from other parties.

I support this ideological concept unless scrapping it supports my political agenda.

Personally I dont think so, and dont think the pros outweigh the cons of nixing it.

That was so transparent.

Likely. Because it's very likely to hurt a company financially that is actively throttling the speeds to a website that has racist content.

Throttling it to having faster speeds on those kinds of websites.

This is exactly what the radical left doesn’t understand. Radicalism creates radicalism, the more you try to shut them out the more they grow and the more radical they get.

That's the worst reason ever. It goes against the principle of free expression and is not what America should stand for.

Except the FTC would still monitor the internet even if/when the FCC drops Net Neutrality

The FCC under its current admin is seeking to dismember the internet
