Totally pain free, but less functional, or fully functional, but with some pain❓

I know what you're asking, shippy...I'm about at that point. Two years ago, it was a pinched sciatic, last year two tennis elbows, and now my shoulder aches, and I have a torn meniscus...the hits just keep coming. Just let me be fully functional, and I'll take the pain and like it.

Pha, like you I’ve, had two knee surgeries,a Split meniscus, a torn ACL, that after years of distance running, I rehabbed & returned to running, till both knees had to be replaced. The only time I used pain meds was during post surgery rehab & got off them ASAP. 15yrs ago I had three episodes of kidney stones, & that’s when I learned how high my pain threshold was, but the stones along with the pain eventually “passed”. The older I got the greater my need is to manage pain & limit use of pain meds, which has benefited both my mental & physical function.

As they say no pain no gain, or if your using dope, you will never learn to cope❗️
