Round 1 Best US Governor Poll, David Ige (D-Hawaii) vs Butch Otter (R-Idaho
I live in Idaho. Butch Otter is great! Take it from an Idahoan! 😁👍🇺🇸
I lived in Idaho until recently. He's complete garbage
Perhaps someone like you would think that. I’ve voted for him and will continue to vote for him every time. There’s a reason Idaho loves Butch.
Yeah, my experiences in Idaho meant I felt his policies, as a student and as a lesbian
How were you affected? Were you looking to marry another woman? If not, then you weren’t personally affected.
Want a specific example?
Tried to take a girl on a date once, wasn't let in the restaurant. Looked it up, saw the law. Just had to accept that
That has nothing to do with Butch Otter and everything to do with a business right to refuse service. If you own a coffee shop, I don’t expect you to serve hoards of KKK members. It’s your business, do what you want. If people disagree with what you do, they will stop giving you business and you will suffer the consequences.
No bower, your issues aren’t with Butch, your issues are with common sense freedoms and liberties.
Expect Otter passed the law, so it is to do with him.
For the record, I don't really care. But Otter is an asshole
If that’s what he was protecting, then that gives me even more reason to vote for him! I think it’s a right of business owners to run their business as they see fit.
Butch Otter, asides from having the world's most unfortunate name, is one of the worst governors. His education and lgbt policies are atrocious
“Otter has recommended an increase in Idaho state educational funding by $1.36 billion as well as expanding needs-based scholarships for college-bound students.” ... so I’m not sure what you mean about the education part.
Give me some specifics.
Also, answer my questions above.
Patience, source, patience.
Butch Otter's education reform focused on standardized testing. Which is just a bad thing to focus on. Also, they changed so frequently, and the curriculums were always test based...I learned how to take tests in school. That's what it was focused on
Did you grow up in Idaho?
Yeah. My entire primary schooling was there
My wife grew up her entire life here as well. There’s been no complaints whatsoever about her schooling. She’s gone on to be very successful now. Also, this isn’t just a Butch Otter thing. Standardized testing is absolutely normal and common in the United States. Is the ACT Butch Otters fault?
Also, I’m visiting my wife’s grandma, and she has no internet there. I’ll continue this once I get back, because I have plenty more to say.
It's well known Idaho has one of the worst school systems in the nation
Actually you’re wrong again. The highest graduation rate is in Wyoming and Minnesota with just over 92%. Idaho sits at 89.5%. Guess which is the worst? Yep. California with 81.8%.
Yeah, that's not the only statistic that matters
