The Alaska *flag* appeals more to me.
So does Texas as *state*.
I voted for the flag issue since live flags, not schematic drawings, are displayed.
I love the Texan flag. It raises high above with the American flag. It's a little bit overwhelming since in Europe you don't have flags everywhere
The flag was adopted as the state flag when Texas became the 28th state in 1845. As with the flag of the United States, the blue stands for loyalty, the white represents strength, and the red is for bravery.
Alaska adopted the flag for official state use in 1959. The blue field represents the sky, the sea, and mountain lakes, as well as Alaska's wildflowers. Emblazoned on the flag are eight gold stars: seven from the constellation Ursa Major, or the Big Dipper. The eighth being the North Star, representing the northern most state. Alaska's flag was designed in 1926 by a 13-year-old Native American boy, Bennie Benson, from the village of Chignik.
Final. These are the two best looking flags in the poll.
