Cook County judge threw out Brown's 1988 double murder & arson conviction Tuesday morning. After having a confession beat out of him he is a free man after 29 yrs. The number of wrongful convictions discovered just grows & grows. Ideas/comments?

Science-based forensics overhaul, taking into account accuracy when considering weight of evidence.
Ethics-based overhauls in regard to how detectives collect and handle information: i.e. regulations on interrogation, punishment for behavior like disregarding evidence that points to it being someone other than who the detectives want it to be.
Procedure-based overhaul on what the goal of a prosecutor is. It's not to get a conviction, it's to serve justice. To clarify: not to get a conviction on whomever you're told to, but to get the person who did the crime convicted.
