If there was a professional athlete with the same first and last name as you, would you root for them even if you hated their team?

Someone shares my name on the Vikings. I'll never cheer for them.

I'd root for the player, but not the team.

Not sure, really. I have a very unique name, and have not met a single person ever to share it as a legal name. That, and if I'm not a fan of the sport, I'm highly unlikely to cheer anyhow...

I’d probably root for them. Just because with how uncommon my surname is (<100 people worldwide), I’m probably related to them. I’d have to chirp at their parents who gave them the same first name as me, though.

Sure, it’s a unique name, so I’d have to cheer.

There's that golfer. Maybe he's got a sister!

There’s a golfer with my last name? There’s a polish judo lady where we have the same initials- close, but no cigar.

Oof. Better stay on good terms with polish judo ladies!
I sent you a text with the guy's name.

This is my son's dilemma at the moment.

So there IS a 3rd Nicklas Backstrom. I knew it.

Whew. I thought you'd say Cal Clutterbuck.
Did you know there actually are two Sebastian Aho's? One is a D-man prospect with the Isles.

That’s weird! There was also 2 gents drafted around the same with a subtle difference in pronunciation, Tyson Barrie and Tyson Baille. Hockey people know who the former is, but the latter must’ve fallen off somewhere in his development.
