Inspired by true SOH events! If bad things keep happening to you, do you blame others for those things and portray yourself as a victim, or do you look at yourself and try to make a change?
What did I miss this week? I’ve been on vacation and haven’t kept up with SOH.
Did someone get banned and I’m not seeing it so far?
No, someone was just whining about things and blaming all of his life’s problems on being a poor straight white male and pretty much everyone that he interacts with. Instead of going “hmmm....maybe I shouldn’t call everyone that disagrees with me a communist pedophile, etc etc.
I’m still trying to get caught up. Any chance that I will see the post or comments?
I had almost 600 polls to answer when I logged on for the first time today.
I think that I know who the offending party is. Not surprised.
Cpa, you won’t see it, because most of the comments were deleted, due to being reported multiple times. That’s how bad it was.
That’ll teach YOU not to stay off SOH for a week! 😜
I already know who the offending party is. He is lucky that only the comments were deleted.
Actually grandma, this was in a different poll. I don’t remember what one it was now.
I'm pretty much half and half. Sometimes I blame myself, sometimes I blame other people. I am guilty of the "somebody up there hates me."
I am not a victim. I always look for the solution.
Always my fault. Blame me😀
It’s my fault, always my fault. Just ask her!
Change if I can.
Look inward and see what you can change to make your circumstances better.
This poll kind of reminds me of the saying "If you run into an asshole in the morning, you ran into an asshole. But if everyone you run into is an asshole, you're the asshole."
I like it
The ones who need introspection are the ones who will say they already do it.
Yes, I think we often have to look internally to fix whatever issues might be going on in our lives (although, as Bert pointed out, things like health issues are out of our control).
I really dislike the "victim" mentality and choose not to associate with people like that. It is such a waste of time to cry victim when you can often push past it and move on. But some people are very comfortable being the victim because it's the only role they know how to play. It is sad.
By the way, I have an inkling of who it *might* be about, but I'm not going to name names in case I am wrong. 🤐
What inspired this?
Just someone who’s always playing the victim, nothing is his fault, every one is against him because he’s a straight white male.
Sounds like a teenager
Nope. Grown ass man.
That’s really sad.
Not luft. Haven’t seen him in a long time
And speak of the devil, I just saw luft in another poll earlier today. I was wondering what happened to that racist bastard.
He should take an ancestry test haha
That would be awesome!
He’d probably kill himself once he found out.
Depends what those bad things are.
Can you give me an example of something bad that happens over and over that you can’t change?
You can change your attitude to health problems, though. There is still no need to play the role of victim.
But you can't "look at yourself and make a change" when it comes to health problems (at least physically).
That’s definitely true eeh. My wife has MS. Her attitude definitely helps her with it. She won’t let MS beat her in anything. She’s stubborn as hell.
But yes on the other hand, she can’t stop having MS.
