No. Sometimes I get dressed in the dark, especially this time of year. I'm not trying to project squat, consciously or unconsciously. I'm just trying to stay warm and un-arrested.
To an extent, unless I’m dressing for myself. On my birthday I like to wear either a dress or my fandom shirts. Same on exam days. Doing so make me feel happy. :)
I'd agree, but with one qualifier: money. If you have no money, and all you have in your closet is old shirts and old jeans, even if you wanted to "project" a certain image, it wouldn't be possible.
I tend to disagree. If you choose to underdressed or overdress for an occasion you suggest that you either didn't think about the event or don't care. Either option leaves a poor impression and makes you less desirable both as an employee and a companion. Additionally, specific choices like tattoos and dreadlocks will automatically put you at a competitive disadvantage against your friends
Royal, welcome to SOH. You have just met one of the most conservative women on here. I don’t have dreadlocks and neither does my husband. We don’t do tattoos, piercings and I wear one pair of earrings at a time. I would never wear flip flops or crack gum on a job interview.
My husband’s wardrobe on weekends consists of NY Giants t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, hats and sweatpants. Even his mug has the Giants on it. Unless it’s a special occasion I’m fine with the way he dresses as long as he’s clean, which he is π
Dare I ask how he feels about football this year? Injuries are a part of it, sure, but going from a major playoff contender in the preseason to "I think might still be able to beat a high school team" in just half the season? That's a major bummer. But you can still root for another team in blue (& green)!
I knew you would say it.
At this point they might as lose the rest of the season so they have best draft picks next year. Total embarrassment for sure. He has the tickets and still goes. I’m boycotting though.
