Ryan Bolan has an emotional support squirrel that he says he can’t live without. His condo association says the squirrel is an ‘exotic animal’ and he is not allowed to keep it. Pick a side:
Not sure which side I'm on. On one hand, I'm not a fan of HOA's and feel they are often too restrictive and petty. On the other hand, "emotional support squirrel"? Dafuq
I’m sorry, but HOA or not, it’s just kinda nuts to have a support squirrel. 🥜
He chose to live in a place with an HOA, so the HOA wins. And it’s his own fault. HOAs and "gated communities" are what we call "deal breakers" around here.
I hate HOAs. So they always lose.
Squirrels are not exotic. They are native fauna.
Squirrels are the most dangerous animal in Yosemite National Park. Not bears nor wild cats, but squirrels. True story. They carry the plague, are habituated to people and they bite.
Depends on the state. In IL you can have any support animal except a monkey.
The condo association can ask for the doctor to lay out why the squirrel is needed, in writing and then the squirrel gets to stay in most states. If he can’t produce that letter in IL, bye bye squirrel.
Some states are set up so you may not even ask for the letter.
Didn’t see the link but he’s got the doctors information. He’s going to win.
On the one hand, he knew what he signed up for when he bought the condo, he should be aware of their rules. But on the other hand, I personally think their rules are stupid.
Is this a joke?🐿
I actually can’t stop laughing.
A support squirrel🐿🧐😂🤣😂🤣🤔
The Association. Odds *very strongly* favor Ryan will fare at least as well without his squirrel, possibly even better.
The associations have to have some rights to protect their property. Also, I believe he is subletting this space.
He signed an agreement.
Animals should be free! No animal should be owned like a piece of property, walked leashed, or taught stupid demeaning tricks for a treat.
What about eating? Can I put an animal in my belly?
Of course. Wild and free does mean they are not game. Lots of animals eat other animals.

That's correct but at the beginning you sign an agreement. I have a home in a gated community in Florida, and they have very strict rules on what you cannot do
