How does the passage of time feel to you?
When I was in school it DRAGGED
After I graduated it just FLEW 😭😭😭
It gets faster every year...🤨
Fast... until Trump got elected. Hasn’t it been 4 years yet??
Strangely very very slowwww:/
Blazing by, and like gravity, accelerating with age.
Well, just yesterday my children were infants and now today they are 24.
Way too fast.
I wish there were an option like "Well, it varies a hell of a lot." And I don't mean from childhood to my current age of decrepitude. I mean from one day to another. Or from whether I'm thinking about how many more Trump-days there are to endure (what's slower than a dead snail's pace?) versus wondering how the hell I got from August to mid November without doing any of the things I wanted to do in September and October, all within about 7 seconds. Or how fast July goes compared to February.
What in blazes is "as expected"?
I can't answer this question with anything resembling accuracy or even, apparently, sanity. I picked "as expected" only because it was in the middle. It doesn't reflect my opinion at all.
When you're working full time M-F=rocket Sat-Sun=warp speed
Usually fast to very fast, but sometimes it drags.
When I was a kid it always seemed like time crawled along at a snails pace. Now that I’m older time just slips by. It’s almost Thanksgiving and it feels like it was just summer yesterday.
Now it feels regular speed, since I graduated and found a career. It DRAGGED during formal education.
Fun fact humans perceive time amping other things logarithmically. Meaning every year actually feels shorter because it is a smaller percentage of your life. Ex from year 19 to 20 that is 1/20th of your life. And from 20 to 21 it’s only 1/21.
It works the same with sound. In order to double the sound from one stereo it would take 10 stereos not 2. Because each additional stereo is a smaller percentage of the total sound
Hey Vsauce, Michael here
It’s possible that’s where I heard it I don’t remember haha
It works the same with booze too. In order to double your drunk you need to drink 10 dranks because you pee out most of the alcohol when you pee
I believe it. I think working full time vs school adds to it as well.
Each year is getting shorter
As expected, but varies depending on what I'm doing.
Im 17 and said fast.
At 76, I’m over the mountain and the end is in site! Meaning I have less years ahead of me, then I have behind me. Time is going by so fast, it’s scary.
Then smoke weed to slow it down lol
I’m on the side of the road, been waiting for a tow truck for over 2 hours now. Just missed a damn test because of this. It’s going pretty damn slow.
It depends on the moment. If I'm in pain, it feels very slow. If I'm late, it feels very fast. So, as expected, I suppose.
Life is like a roll of toilet paper. The closer you get to the end....the faster it goes.
It does pass fast, if you're just glancing back on it. If I stop and think about all the BS I've had to wade through to get to now, though, it feels about right.
Since I finished school (10 years ago) a year feels like a month compared to my childhood. I can go 2 years without seeing someone or going somewhere but I feels like just a few weeks have passed.
My future is already my past. Or, I’ve already passed my future. Too fast to tell.
Right now? Very fast.
Faster and faster every year.
Very slow for my first 34 years. I feel like I've lived a couple lifetimes but then I had a kid. The last few years have sped up to "as expected".
Seems to get faster as I get older😳❗️
I barely even know what day it is anymore
The time is too damn fast ...
I hope other people find the humor in your comment.
I hope so too, I try to spread positive thinking, critical thinking and levity, I've had way too much of the opposite in my life.
The subtlety does all that. And subtle is the reason I said ‘hope’.
It goes fast but the second you want a date to come it drops from 100mph to 10mph
I don't experience time.
“Time is just an illusion”
It’s going by freaky fast.
I blinked three times this year.
