Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is the sole owner of the media organization Washington Post and holds a 100% stake. The editorial board maintains Bezos has no influence on direction, others claim it's a mouthpiece to influence amazons interests. Which is it?

What ARE the Left-wing views of Bezos, exactly?

Real conservatives have a legitimate agenda - lower taxes, less government control in some places, celebrations of the virtues of patriotism and sacrifice, etc. Defending a probable child molester is not indicative of true conservatism. Admittedly, Bezos is liberal. If you want to take down wapo, do it by finding examples of bad journalism, not by a vague broadside against their owner.

Idc about the Alabama candidate, I believe WaPo has been a propaganda outlet for probably 2 years now. For example, after Trump won they put out an article on 'fake news' causing him to win, look at that pathetic paragraph long 'correction' that they only added because of lawsuits. They intentionally pasted fake news. They are agenda drive by whatever Bezos interests are, Trump's trade policies hurts Amazon, therefore, they do whatever they can to hurt Trump. Link for article

That is a year old, but ok. What is the end game for media, in your opinion?

If it's profit, I imagine a president in the opposition would hurt that goal, yet Amazon is now worth twice what it was under Obama.

I don't know particularly for that article, but others have speculated financial payment for 'hit pieces' such as this. www.google.com/amp/s/static.theintercept.com/amp/washpost-is-richly-rewarded-for-false-news-about-russia-threat-while-public-is-deceived.html

How can anyone with 100% of shares claim to have no influence over their own company?

Easy, he collects money and lets others run it. He can stay out of the business side and let them do their thing.

I mean, its definitely left leaning, but just by the content it puts out re technology and Amazon it seems doubtful he's exerting direct authority.

A mouthpiece for Amazon and the left-wing political views of Bezos.

Nobody buys a newspaper to passively see the conflicting views of others presented and sold. The views presented by the Washington Post are those of Mr Bezos.
