My state rep knows me by name. I’ve met 3 of Tennessee’s congressmen, our Senator, and Florida’s senator Rubio, and President Bush.

All of them, state and federal. Most know me by name, as I’ve met with them to help with research on issues for their offices. Although the geography of our state is vast, having less than 650,000 adults, you can easily come to know (and be known) by your representatives.

I was about 10 feet from the VP when he came to Japan about 6 months ago. He was shaking a bunch of sailor's hands but the crowd was so big that I couldn't get up there. I was pretty close to some secret service guys though and they are pretty stone faced. My buddy and I were cracking jokes while waiting for the crowds to clear and only one of them even smiled.

Yeah, I've met both Chuck Grassley and Joni Ernst; Iowa's current Senators. They're both outstanding, hardworking individuals and I'm proud of what they do for Iowa and that they make the time to meet with constituents from all 99 counties. If more Senators worked as hard as the Iowa delegation, we would be in a lot better shape as a country.

I've personally spoken and met with all of my State Representatives and my Federal Representative, Adam Smith. 3 Democrats and 1 Republican. In fact, I'm getting ready to page for my State Senator soon. Can't wait!

I like to meet Governor Nathan Deal. I have been asked if I would meet President Obama if I had the opportunity. I would meet him solely for the opportunity to meet the POTUS.
