Wouldn't it be possible for a medium sized island to be completely eroded? Say one created through volcanic activity and not plate tectonics. I don't think it's likely that Atlantis existed, and if it did, it certainly wasn't continent-sized. Either poor cartography skills or erosion of soft dirt island IMO

Afaik, Mu or Lemuria is a lost continent in the Pacific.
I suspect it's simply Hawaii.
No continents seem to have been lost recently 😏 but early explorers may have come across South America or Hawaii. Grain of truth in the legends.
