"Queue" is just a Q and four unnecessary silent letters 🤔

Comes from the French word "queue." Que makes a k sound. Eu makes an uh sound. The e at the end is silent, because it's French. It can mean a line (of people), or also a tail (on an animal), or colloquially it can be used to describe a penis.

Basically that explains why the u after the q is silent, but the English still do weird things with their vowels, so the eu becomes yu.

The 17th letter of the alphabet is q spelled "Q"

Queue has its own meaning and should be distinguished by its spelling.
