When people get so raving mad about idiotic issues like millionaires kneeling during a song or trans folks peeing next to them does it seem silly given we're all going to die anyway and it won't matter?
I don't think police brutality or trans rights are silly issues at all.
What I meant was opposing them to the point of being a raving lunatic.
You could easily flip this argument. "Do you think that people who protest are wasting time because we're all going to die anyway?"
It's not about our lives, it's about the future of America
I understand the temptation to make that argument but it misses the point I was trying to make.
I view championing change for the objective betterment of society: decreasing police brutality and increasing their accountability to the public, as something no one can really argue against in good faith. That's a worthy cause and worth getting upset about.
Getting MAD about how people engage in that protest by making up bullshit about disrespecting " the troops" and a song is who I see as getting worked up for no reason.
I hope that clarifies my initial position.
Yes, it does seem stupid.
No, this life matters.
Sure. But getting upset about issues that have no bearing on your life doesn't matterm
Being concerned with what goes on in our society does matter. Things have an effect on us in indirect and unexpected ways. It's not just about living your life it's about positively impacting and changing society as a whole.
To have a lasting purpose beyond when you are actually here. To make a real difference, leave a legacy.
Why thank you. I do think I'm pretty damn good looking for my age
A childish premise.
😂 sure bud
People forget that they are gonna die and they live their life like a dumb animal.
It seems silly, but not because we’re going to die.
My point is why get so upset about these issues if in 100 years it doesn't matter.
While it won’t matter to us, it’ll matter to our grandkids and beyond. I don’t have grandkids yet, but I still care about their future.
