If people fail to buy property insurance and then suffer a loss, should taxpayers be required to pay for the replacement of the property?

Not if they fail to, but what if they couldn't afford it due to an extremely tight budget?

No, taxpayers shouldn’t have to bear the burden. Lots of people thought I was crazy but this is why I opposed government bailouts of the hurricane and flooding and earthquake victims.
