Read the Communist Manifesto in the eighth grade. Parts of it sounded okay if people were robots and had no free will or the God-given right to liberty. He was just another totally misguided philosopher whose ideas have led to the slaughter of millions of people. I guess Marx is relevant for that.

Yes. He built the foundation of modern communist theory. He discovered the immutable laws of dialectical materialism, which are endlessly useful for us in our understanding of the world. However today, capitalism has developed in such a way that we can't rely on him alone.

Hah. Marx was far from what Sanders espoused. Sanders was merely a 60s-style liberal.
